In addition to the Santa Cruz property, Logan owned a ranch in the Aromas area (Monterey County). The ranch included or was near to a quarry known as the "Logan quarry". James H. [Harvey] Logan (1841-1928); "Judge Logan", amateur hybridist who created the "Loganberry", came to Santa Cruz in 1867.
