Wilson, Arthur R.

Arthur Roberts Wilson (no local burial found) founded the Graniterock company in 1900, with the purchase of the Logan quarry in Aromas, just across the Pajaro River in Monterey County.

• A Good Times article by by Christina Waters, DNA, Brad Kava, and Sharan Street (July 2, 2025) named Graniterock as the 4th-oldest continuously-operating business in the county. In 1922, Wilson and John T. Porter created Granite Construction as a separate construction company.
