Roaring Camp
Roaring Camp is a tourist attraction in Felton, separated by railroad tracks from Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. The Roaring Camp attraction is built around a heritage steam-powered narrow-gauge railroad that operates on a closed loop within the property. Roaring Camp has event spaces and historical displays, including two restored buildings dating from the Welch Big Trees Grove tourist attraction (moved to their current locations) that preserved the old-growth redwood grove at the heart of the State Park. The company that runs Roaring Camp also operates the Big Trees & Pacific "Beach Train" that operates between Felton and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, following a route parallel to the San Lorenzo River originally established by the Santa Cruz & Felton (SC&F) Railroad in 1874.
