Gordola

Gordola is an unincorporated community along Highway 1 on the North coast between Santa Cruz and Davenport. The name appears on Google Maps, and arose presumably because a number of Italian-Swiss families came to the area from that Swiss town. A 1913 map of the Ocean Shore Railroad showed a stop in the same area called "Scaroni".
