Orlando J. Lincoln (no local burial found) is described in Guinn as born 1847 in Maine, coming to Santa Cruz in 1879, serving in several city government positions before becoming postmaster in 1899 (succeeding W.T. Kearney). Guinn states that, in 1903, "The postoffice [sic] occupies a building on Locust street, owned by F. A. Hihn, and large and modern in all its details." It doesn't appear that the building survives today, and the Santa Cruz Post Office owns its own building on Front Street.
