Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History ("MAH" for short), is at 705 Front Street in Santa Cruz. The complex has four components that were combined in 1993 to form today's museum complex:
- 1882 Hall of Records (Octagon) building, now the McPherson Business Center at 725 Front St.
- 1937 County Jail building
- 1993 connecting entry hall and museum wing
- Adjacent Abbott Square outdoor space
Local history resources at the museum include:
- Publications (run by a MAH volunteer Publications Committee).
- Archives, including collection guides
- MAH reference library (physical books in the Archives). Index on Library Thing.
- other volunteer committees include Evergreen cemetery, Davenport Jail, and Historical Landmark ("blue plaque")
