San Vicente Redwoods is an open space preserve established after closure of the Davenport cement plant in 2010. A consortium of land-preservation organizations, led by the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County, acquired much of the limestone-mining land formerly owned by the cement company to create the open space preserve.
