Dickamon Allen Rider (born December 17, 1832 in Bennington, Vermont, per Powell; no local burial found) is mentioned in Powell as an early lumberman in the Corralitos/Eureka Canyon/Soquel Augmentation area, just east of The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park. He was a founder of the Corralitos Lumber Company in 1871. Today's Rider Road runs through the area.
