Olive, George

George Olive (1828-1911) operated a sawmill on Soquel Creek. Today's Olive Springs Road (off Soquel-San Jose Road) runs through George's former land. George was an uncle of architect LeBaron Olive, and may have been a relative of a Charles Olive mentioned in Powell as a shingle mill operator.
