Loma Prieta Lumber Company

The Loma Prieta Lumber Company of Watsonville was one of the largest timber/lumber operations in Santa Cruz County in the late 1800s. The company had lumber yards and finishing mills at Santa Cruz, Capitola, Watsonville, Hollister, Gilroy, San Jose, Salinas, Monterey and Pacific Grove. Manager in 1903 was F. Sands Austin, whose bio is in Guinn.
