Jessen & Petersen (no local burial found) is described in Guinn as a partnership owning the Eclipse livery stable in Watsonville, which in 1901 they purchased from W. H. Kennedy (no local burial found), although there was a William Henry Kennedy (1852-1938) in Boulder Creek. The partners were, according to Guinn, a "Mr. Jessen" (no local burial found), born 1867 in Germany; and Nels Petersen (no local burial found), born 1860 in Denmark.
