Harvesting Our Heritage, subtitled "Bite-sized Stories From Santa Cruz County History", was published in 2017 by Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History (MAH). The authors are Jody Biergiel Colclough, Elizabeth Birnbaum, Katie Lang Hansen, and Sierra Ryan. Focus of the book is the county's agricultural history, inspired by discovery of an old recipe book. Chapters look at various segments of local agriculture, and are listed below, with names of persons prominently mentioned:
- "Potatoes and Wheat". Potatoes: Elihu Anthony, William Blackburn. Wheat: Trafton family.
- "Wine and Grapes": Jarvis family, Henry Mel (not local, but invested in the Vine Hill area), John Stewart (Scotts Valley), Coope, John F., Meyer, Emil (not local).
