Grant, John

John Grant (1837-1901) is described in Guinn as born in Canada, coming in 1866 to Santa Cruz County, and eventually becoming a foreman for F. A. Hihn, working in Capitola and at Hihn's bituminous rock mines. Daughter Eva May Grant (1871-1935) became a schoolteacher in Santa Cruz.
