Paul D. DeMartini (no local burial found) is described in Guinn as born 1850 in Genoa, Italy; coming in 1878 to Watsonville, establishing a grocery store that he then sold and bought an apple orchard on the Monterey County side of the Pajaro River. The family became Watsonville residents and built a house there.
