Bedell, Alexander

Alexander Bedell (1836-1913]), born in New Hampshire, came to Santa Cruz in 1859, finding work in the lumber-milling business. Ill-health forced him to retire from that work and, with his wife Sarah, established Bedell House, a Santa Cruz boarding house.
