Hackley Hall, according to Rowland (p.199) was built in the 1900s on Center Street as a community center, with a $15,000 donation from Mrs. Frances Hackley of Tarrytown, NY. No longer standing, it was to the left of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, which remains today. The church building can be seen in the photo at right, from UCSC Digital Collections.
