La Selva Beach is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) on the mid-county coast between Seascape and Watsonville. It was founded in 1925 as "Rob Roy". "La selva" is Spanish for "the jungle", and it's not clear why that term would have been applied to this location.
