King, James I.
James I. King (no local burial found) is described in Guinn as born 1857 in Virginia, coming in 1889 to buy a house in Watsonville, and also a 20-acre "ranch" outside of town. On that land and other rented land, he grew mainly of onions. Guinn notes that "The preparing of the land is done by himself, but much of the manual labor is given over to Japanese employees, of whom he has a number."
