Majors Creek was named for the Joseph Majors family, who owned land adjacent to its northwestern banks. Geographically, it is next in order up the coast from Baldwin Creek, and is one of the sources for the Santa Cruz Water Dept.

  • On the 1889 Hatch Map, it is labeled "Coja Creek", so the Majors purchase was apparently after that date.
