Martha Pilkington Wilson (1826-1910), a native of England, became a prominent subdivider/developer of the Eastside neighborhood, beginning with the creation of Ocean View Avenue in 1871. She and her descendents established Wilson Bros. Realty, which remained in business until recently. Martha was the sister of Thomas Pilkington.
