Otis Augustus Longley (1844-1894), a native of Boston, was a painter who had a paint store on Pacific Ave. Shown as a property owner ("vacant") on the 1866 Santa Cruz map, in "Block No. 3" (Green Street). Longley's wife was the former Mathilda Hecox (1847-1931). Their 1860s house still stands at 127 Green Street.
