The Lorenzana family were Californios, some of whom lived in what is now Santa Cruz County. One of the few remaining adobe dwellings is known as the "Lorenzana adobe" or "Branciforte adobe". Many Lorenzanas are buried at Holy Cross Cemetery. The adobe was extensively restored by owners Joe and Edna Kimbro, beginning in the 1970s. It remains a private residence.
