[Kaen] Alzina''' ([https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/260408032/frank-kaen-alzina 1850-1898]), one of fourteen children of Spanish immigrant [[Alzina, Francisco|Francisco Alzina]], became a grocer and married Lora, a daughter of [[Effey, William|William Effey]]. The family business and residence were on Mission Street. A brother, [[Alzina, Enoch|Enoch]], followed his father into the sheriff's dept. Both Frank and Enoch were members of the Pilots hose-cart team in the 1880s.
