Bay Street
Bay Street is an important route in the Westside neighborhood, running from the coast at West Cliff Drive to the UCSC campus main entrance at High Street. Bay Street began as "Lime Kiln Road", constructed by the Davis & Jordan Lime and Cement Company to transport wagon loads of barreled lime from its lime works operation to its wharf, for loading onto ships.
