Henry Raymond Judah, Jr. (no local burial found) married Eva Bowman, daughter of Gustavus Bowman, and the couple lived in the large Third Street house built for her in 1885 by her father. In 1907, Judah and partner E. J. Devlin established the Santa Cruz Evening News. Judah later served Santa Cruz County as a state senator from 1941-1952. Judah's great-uncle was the railroad engineer Theodore Judah.
