Ambrose Alfred Cowden (1912-1985), born in Santa Cruz, was an M. D. who shared office space with Alfred L. Phillips and Samuel Randall, in a 1930 building designed for them on Walnut Avenue in Santa Cruz. In 2001 the former doctors' offices became the Santa Cruz Fire Dept. administration building.
